Can I Make a Claim for Compensation?

If you've had an injury in the last three years that was someone else's fault, or if you've been mis-sold a financial product, we can help you claim compensation that you may be entitled to.

Can I claim compensation?

When we wake up in the morning, suffering an accident at work or being the victim of financial misconduct is probably the last thing on any of our minds. Unfortunately, many of the things that lead to us suffering injuries are entirely out of our hands. But that doesn’t stop us from being angry or wanting to know who is responsible.

Here at The Compensation Experts, we’re regularly asked by victims of other people’s negligence, “can I claim compensation?”

The answer to that is a firm, yes!

Even if you feel guilty or unsure if you should claim compensation, it’s important for you to be awarded the payment you deserve to help you recover from your personal injuries and move on with your life.

That’s where The Compensation Experts come in. We understand that, above all else, everyone’s situation is different. That’s why we tailor our services for each individual according to the unique details of their personal injury claim. That way, you’ll be able to claim compensation that improves your situation and recovery.

How to claim compensation

At The Compensation Experts, we work with personal injury claims solicitors to help you claim compensation which you can use to help you move forward with your life. The compensation could cover:

  • Private funding for your rehabilitation
  • Loss of earnings while you recover
  • Additional adaptions for your home or a move to somewhere that suits your needs due to your injuries
  • Increasing the affordability of specialist sporting prosthetic limbs, mobility aids, and adaptive cars

To claim compensation, we’ll send your situation through our compensation claims evaluation process. In essence, we’ll help you to determine whether you are entitled to claim compensation for personal injury.

If we think you can make a successful claim, your solicitor will work quickly to gather and present all the required evidence to the responsible party. Moreover, they’ll then request that the responsible party make an appropriate payment based on their expert’s compensation calculations.

Where possible, your specialist solicitor will follow the guidelines in the Rehabilitation Code when you’ve suffered an injury, putting you at the centre of the process to make sure you get the care you need, and minimise further stress for you and your family members.

Do be aware that compensation claims can take a while to finalise, but our goal is your wellbeing. Our aim is to help you recover your health and independence as quickly as possible, thus preventing your experience from clouding your future.

Can I claim compensation with a no-win, no-fee agreement?

The cost of starting a claim should not be a barrier to those who deserve to receive compensation. That’s why we offer all qualifying clients the opportunity to make a no-win, no-fee* claim. In short, we remove the need to pay anything before receiving compensation. Therefore, clients don’t have the risk of facing large legal fees if a claim is not successful.

This provides numerous advantages over preestablished insurance policies which cover legal expenses associated with making a compensation claim for personal injury. Unlike no-win, no-fee agreements, these policies often have a limit to the amount they will pay out. In turn, you may have to use a lawyer from a list they approve of.

A no-win, no-fee claim allows you to work with a solicitor of your choice, so you can be confident that they’ll do all they can to secure the most favourable outcome for you.

In addition to our no-win, no-fee agreement, you can be sure you’ll be put in touch with a personal injury lawyer who has years of experience. We work exclusively with law limited firms that:

  • Are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
  • Have a registered office to practice law in England and Wales.
  • Offer multiple years’ experience handling claims for your type of injury.

What are the time limits for claiming compensation?

With personal injury compensation, a statute of limitations can only stretch so far in order to allow you to make a claim.

Generally speaking, you will have three years from the date of the accident or financial misconduct to make your claim. Of course, this can vary depending on what kind of injury you suffered, and your age when the accident occurred.

For example, you’ll have longer to claim if you contracted an industrial disease than if you were the victim of a road traffic accident, assuming you are over the age of 18.
